Infant Baptism, An Open Defiance of God
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” – Matthew 28:19-20
God also said, through the Apostle Peter:
And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. – Acts 2:38
In each case, the word for baptizing or baptized means the same.
The Greek is baptizo, to immerse, to submerge fully (of vessels sunk).
That is a word that cannot be denied nor should it be ignored.
For any professing Christian who remains not fully submerged under water as a testimony to the world of their separation from it as a Christian, they are in open, blatant defiance of a command of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Himself commanded it.
Have you obeyed?
