Mitt Romney on Mormonism

Wow. Turns out that Mormonism, at least according to Mitt, believes some of the same things as John MacArthur:

  1. Christ will appear on, and split, the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem.
  2. A thousand year millennium.

I have to admit, I hadn’t realized that dispensational beliefs had any connection to the Mormon cult, yet, there it is. I’m not surprised. One place where the two differ, of course, is that according to Mitt, during the millennial reign, Christ will reign from two places, Jerusalem and….wait for it….Missouri.

Of course, both dispensationalism and Mormonism, are unbiblical.

Aside from that, this is a very interesting exchange between a radio host and Mitt Romney. It’s a side of Mitt we don’t often have the opportunity of seeing. When compared to the ‘secular issue’ of abortion, Mitt says the entire discussion of his Mormon faith was “all frivolous.” “I’m running for President!” – as if a discussion of his beliefs should take a back seat, if discussed at all.  Maybe I misunderstood what he was saying, but I don’t think so.

Here’s the interview with the same radio host, that sparked the heat between the two…
