“Three church leaders answer perennial questions: What is the church’s role in culture? Put another way, how does the church equip members to carry out their callings in the world?”
Disclaimer for Saltheads: It’s an interesting video, good conversation, but posting the video doesn’t mean my stamp of approval on the views of all three of these gentlemen….just sayin’.
I’m thinkin’ that I’ve read enough from Horton and Keller to not spend time listening to ‘em.
as for the culture 2 Cor. 6:17 come to mind.
@TY: How does one “come out” of their own culture? One can never totally “come out” of one’s culture.
- Just sayin’.
I’m not sure why reviewers rated this negative. Did they miss something? I completely agree that the church as an institution is not to go political but the people inside the church are free to make changes in their culture for the better. Why would one disagree with this line of thinking? Could a church even work if it was “Democratic” or “Republican?” It would alienate half the people. Why not be apolitical and instead of focusing on the world, focus on spiritual things?
