While I desperately want to believe the Holy Spirit has gripped this youngster’s heart and mind with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, everything about this production [the setting, the Broadwaylike stage mannerisms (pacing, body language, voice modulation, subdued smirk at the mention of 'Oprah'-- what kid this age understands what Oprah is all about?), the musical backup for the closing, the applause] tells me it is just a part of the weekly entertainment. A sharp young mind can be trained and exploited for the benefit of attendance, income, and reputation.
May God grant that I am mistaken, and visit mercy and grace to this boy and all those involved in this production…
