There’s been a lot of discussion about this season at http://defendingcontending.com/ Many of us are convinced the whole thing is not of God. My wife was listening to our old cassette tape of Christmas music today while she baked cookies for families at church and she was SHOCKED that there is a false gospel in them – as Piper pointed out. Since we’ve been at a reformed church, she has learned much that I was unable to teach her. We know so little about the Lord because we value His Word so little. Yet we defend our traditions! Repentance is needed. The church needs to tell her people the Truth, not fall in line with Rome and the culture.
