Two Inadequate Views
John Broadus:
“There are two great reasons why men do not see the necessity of the atonement; these are inadequate views of sin and inadequate views of God.
Let me speak of these. It is a terrible thing for a man to become so familiar with the idea of sin that he says glibly, “I am a sinner,” and does not think what it means. It is yet more terrible when he deludes himself into denying the fact.”
