Great post! Yes, doctrine has been reformed out of existence in many cases. Liberal groups do not exposit from scripture because it would reveal their evil deeds. It is much more expeditious for them to spin doctrine to mean something more convenient to the goats and tares ala Rick Warren and the Emergent tribe.
I agree with him that doctrine must be returned before it can be reformed…
I saw a great example of this subject this morning on the weather channel. The talking head gave a quick info burst (for the ADHD listening audience) about Hurrincane Earl and then said, go online and tell us what you think the path of Earl will look like and where you think it might strike the US.
I said, “What?”. Wait a minute, you guys are supposed to know the weather, not me. But this is exactly what has been happening in the church for years. The truth has taken a backseat to what people want to hear and what they will tolerate. Forget my felt-needs, i want to hear the truth!

Most people who profess faith in Christ think they chose Him. It has been a delight to see a dear friend and brother in the Lord have his eyes opened to the Gospel Truth of what is called Calvinism.
