On a serious note, I was really hoping to see him do it well. Some people, and I am not mentioning Lumpy’s name, think his critics are unregenerate servants of Satan and don’t really want that. That is probably because Calvinists don’t do evangelism… and if you’re a critic you’re probably Calvinistic or in danger of becoming so and joining the minions from hell.
TF has noted that unrepentance may well be an indicator of unregeneracy. But, it may just be the motive of a deeply embarassed soul, not a naked one. Then again, it may be the sign of someone who could be the subject of bad suits. Lawsuits that is.
What if just for kicks, someone recognizes that there is a case to be made that LU in collusion with Caner defrauded students through false advertisement, knowing all along that the lies were lies? Where are the Christian legal services when we need him, eh? Where’s Sekulow? Do we really want to wait until a secular legal firm picks up on this? There are potentially thousands of clients. Class action, anyone? Anyone?
Ha! Thanks, I needed that. According to Calvinists not only “do not evangelize” we also are “heretics.” This from a man who has told lies so numerous he can’t keep them straight. With a budget like LU’s, one wonders how this man ever passed the interview and background research stages!

With LU’s budget, one wonders how Caner proceeded beyond the interview and background check stages …. If my child were in any of his classes I would demand a full refund, but would hire legal counsel as to how to retain credit. All the blame lies with LU.
It is humorous, though sad, that the attack groupie defenders of Caner are mostly made up of those who made it one of their goals to demonize Calvinists. Their mode: caricature, character assasination, labeling, and wait for it… mistatements containing factual self-contradictions. Like TV talk shows, scripted, heavily edited, they tend to resemble the liberal talking heads cabal that taps into associative word psychology, using newspeak, creating prejudice, repeating the same talking points until it harmonically converges and sounds like om. How many times have we heard the same word(s) being used on one liberal news program to the next, just like those talking rubber bass thingys, only not so witty, and typically not even understanding the etymology of the usage in the first place? It is all J316ish. Just say, “whosoever will,” to yourself sixteen-thousand times, click your heals three times, and you too will be ready to be baptized into the Identity. And if you chant Calvinists are heretics long enough… they will metamophose.
Click the red-sequined heels, walk an aisle following repetitions of “Just As I Am” .. then proceed to live just like the world: compromise, use allegory instead of Scripture to support ‘freewillism’, and highlight many heretic authors in the college bookstore.
Time to let it go and let God deal with Caner, Falwell, and Liberty as he will.
Perhaps God’s utilization of men such as James White and TurretinFan in this situation is precisely God “dealing with them as He will”.
