Huffington post reports on the latest honor bestowed from Liberty University:
The Reverend Jerry Falwell’s Liberty University recently conferred upon Glenn Beck an honorary doctorate in the humanities. It’s official: Beck is now a doctor of philosophy. Liberty University’s honoring of Beck is fitting because he has clearly established himself as Fox News’s resident "historian," with his area of expertise being American civilization, with emphases on the early republic, Progressivism, and the New Deal. Glenn Beck, Ph.D. makes about $1 million a month, earning him the distinction of being the highest paid "historian" in the world.

Unfortunately for Glenn guilt by association is the way popularity cults and credibility of their icons works. Glenn often points out, clearly and acurately, the stong connection of Obama to Bill Ayers and others. Associations do matter and the MSM made sure that incriminating ones were as weak as possible when it came to covering for their mandingo. Glenn would still have been hurt by a connection to LU without Caner, but with Caner, his already poor standing with the MSM and its lemmings is going to take a big hit. Just mention Jerry Falwell and LU’s credibility as an academic insititution takes a hit, mention Caner and it takes another, tie Beck to LU, and forget it. The vice is the verse, pigs that sleep with pigs from Possum Kill are just as muddy as pigs who wrestle on the banks of the James.

Glenn Beck either knows nothing about history or is creating his own revisionist history to suit his views. Either way, he is no historian.
I don’t see why the uproar – from either side. Glenn Beck converted to the Mormon cult because he experienced a warm fuzzy and is now deceived into thinking he is reconciled to God. LU has long embraced a faulty theology do getting in bed with Ergun Caner is merely another brick in the wall. Bringing these two together makes beautiful music to the deceived. And so it goes.
