Dr. James Duncan Calls It Quits, Retires PajamaPages

5ptsalt.com recently reported in this post how purpose-driven Carolina pope and Rick Warren underling Perry Noble and his NewSpring Church had basically tried to ruin the life of Dr. James Duncan, and we pointed you to his site for a very detailed explanation.
In case you missed it, you can hear Dr. Duncan give a full account of Noble’s character assassination attempt to Pirate Christian Radio host and Christian apologist Chris Rosebrough in a recent broadcast on the Fighting for the Faith radio program.
In Dr. Duncan’s most recent post ‘Shut-up, they explained’, he shows us how Noble and NewSpring are apparently not concerned in the slightest how they may have harmed him and his family.
Now, it seems there is a new development….
According to a post this morning, Dr. James Duncan of PajamaPages.com, is calling it quits and retiring his site.
Says Duncan:
I couldn’t really think of how to say this, so I’ll resort to a bit of cricket speak, if you’ll indulge me.
I think it’s time to declare the innings closed and retire to the pavilion.
Pajama Pages will stay here as an archive, but I don’t foresee any more new posts for a while. After all that I’ve written over the last nine months, and especially in the last 10 days, if you don’t see what I’m saying yet, no more words from me are going to get that done.
Interestingly, Dr. Duncan in his closing announcement did give a glimmer of hope to his loyal readers:
So, there you go. We’re done.
Oh, one more thing.
You should know that when it comes to retirement announcements, I have a soft spot for Brett Favre.
Heh.
Noble (who had the emergent audacity to rebuke (?) Rob Bell ) took a few minutes to coach his congregations on how not to respond to critics recently. His advice comes after bragging about asking God for permission to throw over the table of a young woman at a local restaurant who dared to talk about entertainment in church within earshot of Noble:

My heart breaks for Dr. Duncan and his family..but also for those deluded folks who sit under the “preaching” of this shameless man! I pray that the Holy Spirit will lead them out of bondage before it’s too late!

So Dr Duncan, man of substance, retires his blog, and Perry Noble, man of substance after its been chewed, digested, and comes out the other end, keeps on blabbing and blabbing and blabbing…
