Rick Warren’s imaginary “2.3 billion Christians” are mostly people who have entered through the wide gate onto the broad, easy path to join with the large crowd on its way to destruction and eternal damnation.
Rick W aside, what is wrong with attending events from other faiths?
I have attended pagan discussion groups, bar mitzvahs and parties of friends from other faiths. Faith granted by God in Christ alone isn’t rocked or compromised, is it? I ask my non-Christian friends to church events and even worship. Shouldn’t I be willing to go with them?
Not trying to defend RW, but I didn’t hear anything in this clip that makes him a pluralist.
What makes Warren a pluralist is not attending other religious events per see, it is the participation in them as an act of worship, praying to other gods, etc. Warrens history of doing these very things is well-documented. For example, remeber Obama’s inauguration prayer given by Warren?
At the inauguration, he prayed to, and invokes the names of a false god…. This is an act of idolatrous worship.
More recently, Warren is now openly pushing contemplative prayer and mysticism.
Rick Warren Now Openly Promoting Contemplative Spirituality/mysticism
Hello Brother,
I checked out the youtube link and I was interested in what false god he names I heard him mention the name of Jesus in different languages, but that is all that I heard.
Thanks
Isa
Brother,
I just wanted to thank you for pointing this out. I am a beginning level Arabic student. My teacher is a muslim so of course when I asked how to say Jesus she told me to say Isa. I was never aware that Arab-Christians refer to Jesus as Yasou. Thanks for your prompt reply and leading me into an interesting study.
I believe RW is more of a communitarian than a Christian. ALL of his efforts are directed at creating Heaven on earth. Warren quotes Peter Drucker, Ries & Trout, and Carl Jung more than he quotes the word of God…And when he does quote the word of God, he uses so many different paraphrases so as to make scripture sound like it is saying something totally different than what it really means.
RW is America’s schyster not America’s pastor
You hit the nail on the head, my brother.
