Thanks for calling us pharisees. You pigeoned holed us nicely...

Actually rad dude, what exactly does it take to be a 'man of God' in your opinion? Noble may meet your definition but I'm not sure he meets God's. He tries to be so cool that his message get interpolated to mean something different than what the Bible teaches.

BTW, to research properly, you must obtain ENTIRE services on mp3 or DVD that have not been edited and ask questions to the staff and/or senior pastor--which I have done. Keeping the services and sermons in context, then you must compare these to the Bible as it relates to God and His Holiness (also in context).

Now, RickC, may I ask you what type of research you did in order to know enought about 5ptsalt and its friends to suspect us to be pharisees...?

Is NewSPring worshipping the God of the Bible or a convenient rad dude they created who will not judge them in their wordliness? The answer to this question is a very important one...

I'm always a little more than suspicious when someone claims to have done some "research" on someone or something. The first question I would have is did this research include going to the church on more than one occasion or did it include going at all? Or did this research simply mean getting on the internet and going through various blogs? Having recently attended New Spring and previously watching Perry preach during last years One Prayer services I can honestly say that this man is of God and his method of using humor to get his point across makes worship fun and relevant. Granted, New Spring is not your grandpappy's church but I am not aware of God/Jesus placing any restrictions on how the word is taught. If serious thought provoking topics that are taught with a touch of humor offends you then maybe New Spring ain't your cup of tea. And I dare say that if you haven't attended but find license to blog about New Spring then maybe you might want join that fine group of folks known as the Pharisees that Jesus called a brood of vipers and hypocrites. I found their church to be one of the most loving groups of folks I have ever met. A far cry from the people your "research" describes. I leave you with this, is it possible for that much love to exist if God wasn't there?

Please remember that Professor Duncan has a child that may or may not hear about this in the real world. Every one blogs about what happened to Professor Duncan but no one is thinking about the impact this has on his family every time it posted or bloged aout on the internet. If people say they are Christians would think Professor Duncan is going about his way telling his story but what about when his wife goes to grocery shopping is she hearing about what happened to her family. I would think that she is probably sick of hearing about it and wanting to get on with her life and raising her son. Maybe Professor Duncan (I am not saying whose right or wrong) but should be considering what this is doing to his family.

I have done a little research into 'NewSpring' and I did not find much that was 'Holy". Sure, Noble speaks the name Jesus a great deal, but when put into context with his entire message, I am left wondering to which Jesus he is referring. What I always heard loud and clear is a features/benefits presentation about how this rad dude named JC could rock your world... Over culturally contextualized to the point of not being true is what I came away with.

One thing I will say for them is they have a great band! They play a killer Highway to Hell (AC/DC), I believe in a Thing Called Love (Darkness), and many other secular tunes are mastered by this band.

I fear this is just another entertainment-driven church where Jesus is standing ouside knocking on the door to gain entrance.

Peace.
