Why should I read the Bible? Joel and Rick say that God has a me-shaped hole in His heart. He will give me anything I want as long as I give Him my ‘decision’. He needs me…I don’t really need Him. I’m in controll, baby!
It would be humorous if it wasn’t eternally damning…

Si, the Joel above is Osteen and certainly not you… Warren has been known to ‘bust a move’ when it comes to reinventing what the Bible says also. One example would be the “sin is what keeps us from being fulfilled” nugget he dropped as an answer to the question, “What is sin?” . This is a total inaccuracy. One aspect of sin is that a person will not be fulfilled while in sin but this is not a definition of sin. There are many other examples of such tip-toeing around the truth so as not to offend… but I am sure you are already aware of this.
