Based on the title only, I would say No, a Christian doesn’t need to observe the Sabbath. If we’re going to keep the Law, we need to keep the WHOLE Law, which the Jews found to be tougher than it sounds. The means not eating pork, lobster, crab, catfish, mushrooms, or to be honest a cheeseburger. Meat and cheese could not be mixed on the same sandwhich you see. And that’s just the food laws. We would have to grow long beards, not cut the hair on our temples, and cover our heads when we pray.
Paul was very clear to the Galatians that they were not under the Law, and it was better that way. Furthermore, anyone teaching that Christians needed to go back under the Law after accepting Christ was a false teacher. The Gospel + anything does not equal the Gospel.
