Who is Andrew Wommack? He is the head of AWMI (Andrew Wommack Ministries International), and leader of The Gospel Truth, one of TBN’s latest additions to it’s broadcasting network, and a blatant attack on scriptural authority, among other things. TBN (Trinity Broadcasting network), the largest Christian broadcaster in the world, has scheduled Wommacks show to air once a week on Monday’s. The offer to Wommack was reportedly made by Paul Crouch himself (online source). His first broadcast aired July 2, 2009.
As you will see in the video below, Wommack is so bold in denying many Scriptural truths, while promoting his own philosophical slop, it leaves the mind reeling. Among his teachings:
- Man made Satan.
- Pigs, fungus, snails have more authority than the Devil, because they have “a physical form.”
- Satan crucified Jesus, and took Him to Hell.
In a single broadcast, Wommack claims God “lost control” of the earth, has “ability” to lose control of the earth, that God required man in order to bring Christ into existence, that God spoke Christ into existence (which obviously denies the pre-existence of Jesus Christ as the eternal Word). He also denies the deity of Christ.
Because of the reach of TBN, this man’s heretical teaching, and his potential influence on millions worldwide, make him one to be exposed.
Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. Ephesians 5:11 (ESV)

I wish I could say this surprises men, yet I read it with an utter apathy of emotion. There is nothing about Christ on TBN, except for Way of the Master, the lone beam of light in a very dark place.
How about writin g up 95 Thesis to place on their studio door or something… I mean seriously, we as Christians need to be a little bit louder about the heresies of this network.
I don’t know if you’ll see this, seeing that these posts are a year old, but someone has done this. I did it some 24 years ago. I wrote a 70 page letter to Paul Crouch explaining exactly what was wrong and why. Of course, it didn’t change anything. I sent that same letter, after three attempts to reach Crouch, to his pastor Jack Hayford, from whom I received no response. I later learned Hayford was one of the founding, charter members of some Copeland Word-Faith type organization. I can not remember the name of that organization after over 24 years. I just remember its goal was to spread the Word-Faith message. Money, sadly, is more important than the welfare sheep, more important than correcting ministers (if ever they really were ministers) that have gone astray, more important than solid scriptural teaching. It’s just a big silly game that pays off very well if you play it well, at the cost of the sheep, who must foot the bill for these charlatans.
I sent the same letter to a number of other ministries closely related to TBN, with no response. These people are blinded by ego and greed. They see only what they wish to see, hear only what they wish to hear, and dismiss or condemn everything else. As long as the sheep are sheared and sending in millions of dollars regularly, this is THE ONLY thing that counts. That is sad, but it is the way it is. Otherwise my two decade long attempt to combat this insanity would have had some impact, while in fact, I have seen no effect. Isaiah said of this same sort of minister, “they are greedy dogs that can never have enough”, and Jeremiah said, “my people love to have it so.”
I am to assume the main reason this man is viewed as a heretic is because of his views on the sovereignty of God? So, I am addressing Calvinists, yes? Let me point out one thing to you. If God controls everything, we don’t have a free will, and all is predestined, then why bother “exposing” heretics? According to Calvinists, the only people who will follow false teachings are those who were predestined to, right? And everyone who is one of God’s “called” children are predestined not to follow Andrew Wommack and don’t need to be warned about this guy, right? So….who are you preaching to? Oh, and may I also point out that if Calvinism be true, then Andrew Wommack is only doing what God wants him to do, right? If any of you aren’t beginning to see the absolute lunacy of Calvinism, I am sad for you.
I am now more stupid after hearing this.
Are you for real??????????? You don’t know the same Jesus i know if you can blaspheme our Lord and Savior the way you have on this video. You’ll be walking right along side of satan in hell for sure!
I agree with Marcus we as Christians do need to speak out against these heresys on TBN.
I do have a question. My husband and I were talking about the Word of Faith Movement and wondered if it has been labeled as cultic?
Absolutely. I would encourage you to go to Apprising.org and do a search on it. Search on Hagin, or Kenneth Copeland. – JT
I kinda doubt that God will really care whether we believe that man made satan or not.
It’s much more likely that God will ask us, “what did you DO for Me?”
Love is greater than anything else. The rest is secondary.
I’d have to disagree, biblically speaking. ‘Love’ can easily become an idol and is to many. If you place love above the person of Jesus Christ, you are an idolater. And do you seriously think ‘God wouldn’t care whether we believe that man made satan or not’? Oh, my friend, the Word of God is very clear. His Word is the final authority in all things. Man is a creature, God the Creator. What you are saying is near blasphemy. – JT
This is just the same old crud as promulgated by E. W. Kenyon, which was picked up and spread more widely by Kenneth Hagin, which was picked up by Kenneth Copeland. Between Hagin and Copeland, they have covered the globe in their Kenyonesque gospel of self-enrichment by shearing the sheep called “prosperity” and their bizarre Christ that “was defeated on the cross”, that having “became sin for us” was born again in Satan’s image, then dragged to Hell by Satan to be tormented for 3 days and nights, at which point he was born again in righteousness. Thus atonement and salvation was wrought in Hell. Wommack is just another conman Kenyon clone cashing in on the gimmick, but he has a few original twists to his version.
One might well wonder, in the strange Christ that was born again in Satan’s image, wouldn’t that make him Satan’s son and servant who is one with Satan in nature, character and spirit? Why then would Satan bother to torture one of his own? The whole stupid story is ludicrous. It’s only benefit seems to be that it makes those who preach it rich by running a never ending con-job by these “greedy dogs that can never have enough” on the sheep who seem “to love to have it so”.
thank you, we need to know the truth about these heritics. i agree with you. Andrew Wommack
is so dangerous. He is “the most dangerous on tv” he also owns and operates a so called college. He has lured many into his lie. He is praised because he gives away free stuff. then he fleeces later. his approach is so different than the others and thats how he is so successful
with his ministry.
thank you
John
first of all nothing you have said is taught by anybody just your bad misconception of the word please read your bible that is not what it says
Thank you.are you really a christain sir.
It may be good to spend a lot of time searching and publishing what is wrong about the preaching of those preachers. But my question is do YOU spend as much effort to pray for them as you do judging them?. Concerning the comprehension of Wommack about the soverenity of God i understand it this way: of course God is allmighty. He can do what he wants the way He wants it. But He has choosen to give us a part of responsability. He wants us to be free making a choice. We have to choose between Him and the devil. When we choose Him then He comes with His glory in us and in our house. When we choose the devil he does the same he comes with his destruction. And God permits that because we have decides that it will be like that while choosing the devil. God wants us to understand that he has given us the power on the earth. We are the one who decide who is going to reign. Either God or the devil. God wanted it that way. God has also already given us everything in Jesus. It is up to us to make use of it. I agree with Wommack when he says both God ans the devil need human beeing to act in the material word. That’s true. God wanted it to be that way because he wanted to work in partnership whith human beeing. Of course he has the power to do everything without human beings but that is not the way he wanted it to be.
I heared the truths been preached by Andrew and it set me free from 30 years of religious bondage, plus I personally prayed for my sister and she was miraculuosly healed of typhoid fever. Whoever criticise Andrew needs to be set free themselves. Listen to him and open up your heart for God to reach you.
I agree with Andrew too, my relationship with God has grown immensely since I started listening to him. I was reluctant at first but he makes the truth so simple! I don’t agree that he is a false prophet and I believe he’ll be in heaven with us.
