The first instance of court i Sweden has as a deciding assembly: One judge and four politicians, the latter representing the people. They often, as for exsample the American jurors, lack the nessessary skill to perform a correct ruling. In Sweden you (almost) automatically have the right to appeal after losing in the first instance.
Therefore this video is incorrect as in “outdated”. You should not show this video as it missrepresent the Swedish judicial system.
That said, of course it is bad that a lower instance interpreted the law as being so restrictive against freedom of speach. All judicial systems are in some degree restrictive against freedom of speach, the American for example, since it often outlaws slander.
