In Morgantown, WV…….
It always hurts for the Christian to see the Word of God attacked. It may actually be harder to witness it coming from a pulpit. While most may be concerned with the more influential in the evangelical community, do not forget that deception comes anywhere Satan can get his foot in the door.
It almost breaks my heart to see one so deceived and misguided as the preacher below. Far worse, is knowing that there are older adults in the congregation who are thoroughly encouraging this young man.
The message preached here is quite apparent. Salvation by grace alone is heresy, and beware the man who preaches repentance and demands your life bear fruit of the working of the Holy Spirit.
“Beware the man who preaches repentance” ?
“The necessity of bearing fruit as evidence of salvation is heresy”?
“Perseverance of the saints is garbage?”
Obviously, you don’t have to be famous to lead people to hell. Then again, let’s not write anyone off. The same God who laid the foundations of the heavens and the earth, can yet lay hold of this fellow, and he can be turned around. Pray for Morgantown, and this young man.

Thanks for asking for prayer for this young man. Indeed, the Lord can lay hold of him!
To say that because before the fall Adam and Eve had complete free will means we all have complete free will after the fall is rather well….silly, but common. There is too much in scripture attesting to the effects of the Fall that tells us otherwise, both OT and NT.
If Luther, Calvin, Spurgeon, or any other reformers has never lived, and I had only read scripture, I would still hold to the doctrines of grace – they are what scripture teaches and what is written clearly in its pages.
Lest I speak too harshly, I also have to remember there was a time I was nearly as adamant about Calvinism as this young man – and equally as ignorant of what Calvinism really teaches.
